As part of Petrofac’s commitment to the development of local skills within the oil and gas industry in Algeria, we designed and built a Construction Skills Training Center (Petrofac Training Centre) in Hassi Massoud, Algeria with a capacity to train up to 400 delegates annually.
Since 2005, Petrofac Training Services has been working with Petroleum Development Oman on a training programme for its Kauther gas plant project
Since 2003, Petrofac Training Services has co-managed Caspian Technical Training Centre (CTTC) on behalf of BP and its partners in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In 2005, Petrofac Training Services was awarded a two year contract with BP Sharjah that was subsequently extended to 2010, for the provision of a wide range of training courses for BP employees and subcontractors.
In 2011, Saudi Aramco required their operators and technicians to be trained to competently operate and maintain their first offshore, high pressure sour gas platform.
Petrofac Training Services were asked to provide customised technical training; including vendor training for approx 200 ISG operators, technicians and supervisors, in process, mechanical, instrument and electrical disciplines.
Petrofac Training Services (PTS) were asked by PDO to provide technical training for their employees to the level of the UK NVQ standards.
