Delivering a competent local workforce
Petrofac Training Services established the Sakhalin Technical Training Centre (STTC) in 2008 to support Russia’s emerging oil and gas industry. Since 2009, STTC has delivered a total managed solution to help Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL) establish a competent local workforce.
So far we have trained more than 300 technicians in their respective disciplines. Our comprehensive, end-to-end solution for ENL covers:
- recruitment screening
- competency profiling
- English language instruction
- technical training across four disciplines: mechanical, electrical, process and instrumentation
- mandatory Russian Federation training
- HSE topics including breathing apparatus, confined spaces, working at height, fire fighting, BOSIET and cold water survival
Our tailored competency development programme begins with six months’ English language training. This is aligned to ExxonMobil global standards and independently verified in the USA. Next follows 12 months of dedicated technical training. Mandatory Russian Federation training and HSE related topics are also covered. The result is that technicians are ready to hit the ground running as soon as they leave our training centre.
STTC holds the requisite Russian Federation education licence and is internationally certified by City & Guilds, OPITO and a number of industry manufacturers. All of our courses and programmes conform to the rigorous requirements of the Russian Federation of Mandatory and Vocational Training.
Petrofac Training Services can prepare local personnel to work efficiently and safely from day one.
